Tasty beer cheese spread over Breadmasters lavash, layered with sautéed onions, peppers and pan seared skirt steak!
Lavash Cheesesteak Flatbread
Ingredients
Beer cheese sauce
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon mustard powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup lager
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Onions & peppers
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 large onion sliced
- 1 red bell pepper sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper sliced
- Salt and pepper
Skirt steak
- 1 – 2 tablespoons oil
- Salt and pepper

Beer cheese sauce
- Melt butter over med heat
- Add flour, salt, mustard and garlic powder
- Cook for a minute stirring constantly
- Add milk, slowly, and whisk until smooth
- Add beer and stir to combine>
- Cook over medium-high heat until it begins to thicken
- Reduce heat to low, add cheese and stir until melted
Onions & peppers
- Heat a large nonstick skillet over med heat
- Add oil, onions and peppers
- Season with salt and pepper
- Cook 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until soft
Skirt steak
- Season steak with salt and pepper
- Heat skillet over high heat
- Add the oil and the steak to the pan
- Sear until browned, about 2 to 3 minutes
- Flip and cook another 2 to 3 minutes
- Remove from heat, cover loosely and allow to rest 10 minutes
- Slice across the grain
Assemble
- Preheat oven to 350ºF
- Smear lavash with enough beer cheese for your liking
- Layer on some onions and peppers
- Bake 15 minutes until crispy
- Add the skirt steak
- Top with chives
- Enjoy!
